Chloe A: Sunrise Hartwood Acres Mansion Senior Photos

I met Chloe and her mom at Hartwood Acres Mansion on a beautiful morning at sunrise for her senior session - and boy was it worth it! We had the most gorgeous golden light. I don’t photograph a ton of sunrise sessions, but when I do, they always become my favorites!

Chloe brought a few extra bouquets of flowers to incorporate into her session, which matched almost perfectly with the flowers in the Hartwood garden! They added a beautiful pop to her photos. She even put some in her hair near the end of her session, and we found a beautiful bush that complimented them beautifully!

Chloe is a senior who plans to study marketing post high school! She loves going to concerts, is a barista, and even though she's not a morning person she rocked her early morning session. Congrats on your senior year, Chloe!

Becca & Adam: Bay 41 (Lawrenceville) Wedding Photos

Becca & Adam present: "Wedding Village."

When I first talked with Becca & Adam about the vision for their wedding day, they shared with me a desire to foster an intentional community focused space for their wedding day. Everything would be within close walking distance for guests, and the hope was for guests to bump into each other as they explored Lawrenceville and to make many connections along the way. The goal was to intentionally cultivate community among their guest list that spanned 7 countries and 14 (or 15?) states - hence the term, "wedding village."

In addition, Becca & Adam chose Lawrenceville specifically for its walkability and Pittsburgh-esque charm of industrial meets nature (which was certainly reflected in their decor choices as well!). Their Ketubah signing ceremony (a Jewish marriage covenant, outlining the responsibilities of the husband and wife), wedding ceremony, and reception all took place at Bay 41 under the beautiful, blue, Pittsburgh sky.

Adam is a big fan of public transportation, so including some photos near a train track was a priority, too!

I love how intentional this couple was to cultivate a wedding day true to what is most important to them. It was a joy to get to photograph them on their wedding day!

Atalya & Chase: Strip District & Point State Park Engagement Photos

Meet Atalya & Chase! They recently got engaged and are in the process of planning their wedding day for next summer!

We spent the evening of their engagement session in two spots that are special to them - the Strip District (where they met & had their first date), and Point State Park (where Chase proposed - from a helicopter above the park!).

We had the threat of rain all day leading up to their session, but even though the clouds were dark in the distance, we made it through their entire session without rain - and with a beautiful golden hour!

I could hardly begin to choose just a handful of favorites from our time together, so enjoy a photo overload of this sweet couple!

Congratulations on your engagement, Atalya & Chase!

Luke G: Wildwood Golf Club Senior Photos

Luke is a senior at Eden Christian Academy who loves golfing, so the perfect place for his photos is the course he is a regular at... Wildwood Golf Club! He hopes to study engineering post high school.

I have had the privilege of photographing the senior photos of both of Luke's siblings before him, beginning all the way back in 2015! It is always such an honor when families let me be a part of such sweet memories throughout the years!

Congrats on your senior year, Luke!

Samantha K: The Pennsylvanian Rotunda Senior Photos

Meet Samantha!

It was a fun change of pace to take Samantha's senior photos downtown a few weeks ago (after many sessions at Hartwood - which I love! But switching things up a bit is always good ;) ). Samantha is a senior at Pine Richland who hopes to teach English someday! She's currently learning Japanese (so cool!), and how beautiful is the dress she chose for her senior photos?! I loved it so much!

We ended up switching Samantha’s photo location last minute to the Pennsylvanian Rotunda to avoid some surprise rain showers that popped up on the radar. The location ended up complimenting her dress so perfectly.. and I am so grateful that the staff at the Pennsylvanian graciously let us use their space! (If you’re a photographer reading this, you DO need permission from the event coordinator to use the space. Reach out to them if you’re interested in taking photos here!)

Congratulations on your senior year, Samantha!

Meet Megan! She's a North Allegheny senior who is interested in becoming a PA post high school! She is an avid golfer, her favorite type of flower is the sunflower and she was a joy to photograph at Hartwood.

We had the prettiest night - not too humid, and the light was GORGEOUS. Bring on the beautiful early fall weather!

Congrats on your senior year, Megan!

Hartwood, florals, the most beautiful sunshine = the perfect night for senior photos!

Alexis is a senior at Chartiers Valley who hopes to work in speech pathology post high school graduation! She is also musically inclined and is on her school's drill team. And as you can see - she's stunning! All of her outfits were absolutely perfect choices for the Hartwood grounds... and I love that she chose one short dress, one long dress, and one outfit with a pair of pants. It let us get so many different posing options and tons of variety for her gallery!

Alexis also brought some additional florals for us to work into her photos, including two bouquets and some long stem flowers that we chopped the heads off of for the “laying in the flower” photo. Her mom actually went and hand picked all of her flowers to match her outfits… which I think is the sweetest touch!

Congrats on your senior year, Alexis - thank you so much for the honor of getting to celebrate with season with you!

Meet Brynn! She is graduating with the class of 2024 and is hoping to study business post high school graduation. Fun fact... I photographed her two sisters for their senior photos, too, beginning back in 2017 (Morgan & Payton). I can't believe how fast time flies!

Brynn is such a sweetheart, and as she puts it, the perfect mix between her two sisters. She's the youngest of three and was a joy to photograph!

Congratulations on your senior year, Brynn! ❤️

Meet Josie! She is graduating with the class of 2024 and braved a VERY early morning photo time slot (starting at 7AM!) for some beautiful morning light! I don't know what it is... the light just hits different in the morning (but that time slot is totally not for everyone!).

Josie brought some beautiful sunflowers with her to incorporate into her photos, which was so much fun! She is musically talented and very involved at her local church (love it!).

Congratulations on your senior year, Josie!

Vincenzia V: University of Pittsburgh White Coat Photo Session

Meet Vincenzia! She is a future physician who recently completed a degree in bioengineering, and who is starting med school - and she wanted to celebrate with a photo session (which I LOVE!). Earning a degree is a huge accomplishment - certainly something that deserves to be documented!

We started off Vincenzia’s session in front of Pitt’s Med School, and then headed to the Mellon Institute, and Pitt’s lower campus, including Heinz Chapel, the Cathedral of Learning, and the Schenley Fountain.

Vincenzia chose to wear her white coat (which she had just received days prior!) and a bright blue Pitt colored dress for her first outfit, then the same colored jumpsuit for her second. I love how she tied the school’s colors into her session… and the blue was such a great “pop” of color against the Oakland backdrops.

Vincenzia is the third in her family who I’ve had the pleasure of photographing! (See the first here and the second here), so it was a treat to be able to photograph her, too!

Congratulations on everything, Vincenzia! And best of luck at med school!
