Sarah & Derek: St. Nicholas Cathedral Room Wedding Photos

Sarah & Derek, 08.13.21 ❤️

These two math lovers chose their date based on the Fibonacci Sequence, which reads:

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21...

You'll notice the 8, 13, 21 sequence... the absolute perfect date for two people who were brought together by their love of math! Their day was filled with romantic details and was a true fairytale to behold. These two are so incredibly, compassionate, and full of love for each other!

Congratulations on your marriage, Sarah & Derek!

Lindsey & Tyler: Energy Innovation Center Wedding Photos

Lindsey & Tyler had a very Pittsburgh wedding, featuring the absolutely GORGEOUS Energy Innovation Center, which features a stunning rooftop overlooking the city, and giant windows in their main room, making the skyline of Pittsburgh the backdrop for their ceremonies and receptions! Oh how I absolutely LOVED photographing Lindsey & Tyler's wedding there!!

We had a first look on the roof... featuring a fake first look first! Definitely a fun way to start their day off! We headed off to one of my favorite spots for portraits in the city, where some birds joined us for bridal party photos (you'll see what I mean as you scroll ;) ), then made our way back to the EIC for the ceremony and reception, and then capped the evening off together with some photos on the roof. I adore these two... we had the best day celebrating with them! Congratulations on your wedding day, Lindsey & Tyler!!

Brittany & Ian: Tropical Wedding Celebration at Pinehall at Eisler Farms

I knew from the moment I first chatted with Brittany & Ian that their wedding was going to be unique, colorful, and fun! And if you’ve been reading the blog for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed that I LOVE COLOR in photos! Their vibrant, tropical-themed wedding had an abundance of lush greenery, vibrant flowers, fresh fruit, and even some "tropical" rain storms that made us feel like we were shooting a wedding in the rain forest! ;) Okay, so, the random rain storms that came throughout the day weren’t anyone’s favorite part of the wedding, but we were able to still get some gorgeous photos while dodging the rain!

Other fun details you’ll see below include: pineapples galore - even in the bride’s bouquet and HAIR! (look closely and you’ll see what I mean!), as well as an antique shuttle bus (killer!), goats, and fireworks!!! Really and truly, this wedding had it all.

Congratulations on your marriage, Brittany & Ian, and thank you so much for letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding day!

What a day, what a story, what a couple! As Michael said as we walked over to set him up for his and Lauren's first look - third time's a charm!

These two were on their third Covid reschedule and had patiently waited for this day for years to celebrate with their friends and family. Though this was technically their second wedding date (after a small ceremony in their now-home state of Texas last year!), there was just as much excitement as any other wedding day I've photographed... if not more! It was so easy to tell how much Lauren & Michael treasure their incredible friends & family through their willingness to wait through the pandemic to celebrate with them.

This day was a joy to witness - this love was a joy to photograph! Congratulations on your second wedding day, Lauren & Michael! So so SO thankful for you both!!!!

Maddie & Joey: Shady Elms Farm Wedding Photos

Where to begin with these two?! I have had the immense pleasure of being a part of so many special weddings this year, and this one is no exception!

I met Maddie when she was in middle school - we were in a musical together! I was Miss Hannigan, and she was one of my little orphans. I took photos at her 16th birthday party, then her senior photos when she graduated. To be a part of her wedding day was such a beautiful "full circle" moment.

But even better than any of that is the beautiful, kind, sweet relationship that Maddie & Joey have. Their love for each other, their friends & family, and for the Lord emanated throughout their entire day.

Congratulations on your marriage and on your wedding day, Maddie & Joey! I am so, so, SO very thankful that you let me be a part of it.

Enjoy some of my favorite highlights from their wedding day below!

Jordan & Robbie: Summer White Barn Wedding Photos

They met in the seventh grade. She “friend-zoned” him until the tenth grade. They got engaged in Italy while studying abroad. They waited so long for this day - their wedding day. And when it finally came, it was everything they had waited for and more!

Besides their fairytale love story, what is so impressive about these two is their immense love for each other. Their joy radiates from the inside out, and has Christ at the center. And that made their wedding day even more of a joy to photograph! These two had waited SO long to finally be husband and wife, and their love and joy for what truly matters most - the marriage - was evident in every decision, every detail, and nearly every interaction.

While I feel like I could write a whole book about this beautiful wedding day and incredible couple, I’d love to let the photos speak for themselves. This is a longer wedding blog post, but there were so many wonderful details and moments that I couldn’t possibly narrow this post down any further.

So with that - Jordan & Robbie, thank you from the bottom of my heat for letting me be a part of your wedding day! I could not be more thankful to have had the privilege of celebrating the next step in your journey ❤️

Amy & Matt: Camp Russell at Oglebay Resort Wedding Photos

Amy & Matt celebrated their wedding day at the famous, beautiful, Ogelbay Resort in Wheeling, WV! Their day was intimate, relaxed, and laid back... it was an absolute joy to photograph! Their ceremony and reception both took place at Camp Russell - an adorable little pavillion and lodge nestled in the woods of Ogelbay!

Amy & I went to the same university, and actually studied abroad in Ireland for a few weeks together! So, getting to photograph her wedding day was so so special.

Amy & Matt - thank you for the incredible honor of photographing your wedding day! Congratulations on your marriage!!

Ed & Meghan: Sheraton Station Square Wedding Photos

I have had the huge honor of celebrating Ed & Meghan on so many milestones of their relationship - from the proposal, to engagement photos, to their 2020 wedding ceremony, and now to their wedding reception at the Sheraton Station Square!

They had originally planned for a 1920’s themed wedding, as a nod to the year they were getting married, 2020, so they forged ahead with their original plan for their 2021 reception! They had lots of 20’s themed details (one of my favorites was their gorgeous cake by Bethel Bakery!) incorporated into the day, and their reception took place in a beautiful room full of windows overlooking the Pittsburgh skyline. It’s a tough view to beat!

Because Meghan & Ed are already married, they had a small overlap of “getting ready” photos instead of seeing each other down the aisle, and instead of a first look. Ed even helped Meghan put her red heels on… which ended up being such a sweet moment from their wedding day!

After getting ready, we headed out to the surrounding Station Square area for some photos. The aesthetic of Station Square in Pittsburgh has some nods to the 20’s (industrial looking, trains, etc.), which made it a great spot for their photos together and with their bridal party!

I won’t lie, I’ve worked with Meghan & Ed so many times over the last two years that I am super sad to not have anything else on the calendar to look forward to with them! Meghan & Ed - congratulations on your marriage, and thank you so much for letting me be a part of this sweet season of your lives!

Brielle & Stephen: The Heritage by Hayloft Wedding Photos

Their first date was in 2013. They got engaged five years later in 2018. They were married in a global pandemic in 2020. And this year, in the wedding you’ll see below, they recommitted themselves to one another, surrounded by their family and friends.

And friends, it was one heck of a day.

The Heritage by Hayloft hosted Brielle & Stephen’s huge one-year-married anniversary celebration, and it was an absolute BLAST. To be fair, we’ve known these two and their families for quite a few years now. Brielle’s dad is like a brother to my dad, so we’ve always considered them to be akin to extended family - aunts, uncles, and cousins that may not have the same blood, but who we adore and always wish we could see more of!

Throughout the years, I’ve had the immense privilege of photographing Brielle AND Stephen’s senior photos, so of course, getting these two back in front of my camera was such a treat!

We started the day at a hotel with getting ready and detail photos. After, we headed over to the barn to get Brielle in her dress, have a first look with her dad, and have a first look with Stephen! We were running 30-40 minutes ahead of schedule for the ENTIRE day (totally unheard of in the wedding world!), so we had plenty of time for photos of the two of them and their bridal party!

Their ceremony took place in the Heritage by Hayloft’s “Enchanted Forest.” Separated from the barn, away from road traffic, this quiet spot sits on the edge of the forest and served as the most beautiful location for Brielle & Stephen to renew their vows.

The reception that followed included a cake made of mini donuts (it was just as amazing as you think it would be!), ice cream, more donuts, and of course, a cookie table with TONS of boxed cookies! The night ended with a sparkler exit, and my heart left so very full and happy for these two people (and these two families) who I love so much!

Brielle & Stephen, we adore you two and we are so thankful to have been able to spend your second wedding day with you! ❤️ CONGRATULATIONS on a beautiful day, and a beautiful marriage!

And friends, you’ll just have to excuse this longer than usual blog post… there’s no way I could narrow these photos down any more! 😂 I just love way too many!!!! PS - we make an appearance right at the end! 😉
