Rachel + Peter: Southpointe Golf Club Wedding Photos

Rachel & Peter’s wedding day was filled to the brim with so much love and fun! I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel at her sister’s wedding almost 2 years ago, along with the rest of her incredible family. To say that we were honored to be a part of BOTH of these incredible weddings is an understatement!

With an emphasis on love and family, Rachel and Peter’s wedding day was nothing short of amazing - but their wedding day didn’t happen without some setbacks. These two were forced to move their date from spring of 2020 to spring of 2021 (due to you know what), and while many of the details (both small and large) changed from one year to the next, the celebration of the most important piece of the day did not: the celebration of a marriage. While, yes, weddings are beautiful and fun and meaningful, the marriage is what we come to celebrate - the union of a man and a woman, under God’s design. And truly, you could see that that was what led Rachel and Peter’s hearts into their wedding day! Not the absence of what could have been, but the plenty of what WAS able to be.

These are the best wedding days to be a part of - the ones that fill the soul and focus on what matters most. And, Rachel and Peter, I can’t thank you enough for allowing us to be a part of this beautiful celebration! We pray perseverance and dedication within your marriage for all of the years to come!

Stephanie & Bill: Vibrant Fall Shady Elms Farm Wedding

Where to even begin with this wedding day?! Stephanie & Bill tied the knot on one of the most beautiful, fall November days at Shady Elms Farm in Hickory, PA - one of my all time favorite wedding venues! I couldn’t have imagined photographing my last wedding of 2020 for any other couple, and at any other venue. It was truly a magical day!

Though Stephanie & Bill warned me beforehand that they weren’t too keen on having their photos taken, I found them to be literally one of the easiest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! They are obviously SO comfortable with each other, and (I think ;) ) it shows so much in their photos! We felt like we were instant friends with these two! ❤️

Stephanie & Bill, it was TRULY an honor to photograph your day. Congratulations on your wedding day, and on your marriage!

Jenna & C.G.: Glamorous Fall White Barn Wedding Day

Joy is one of the best words to describe Jenna & C.G.’s attitudes throughout their wedding day! Which was super impressive, considering the fact that it rained on and off throughout their ENTIRE day. But the joy of marriage far surpassed any sort of rainy, inclement weather.

If you’re new around here, you probably don’t know that the White Barn is my favorite wedding venue… because it’s where my husband and I tied the knot back in 2015! So when Jenna and C.G. originally inquired with me, I felt an immediate connection with them for falling in love with the same beautiful place that Nick and I did years ago. After some chatting, Jenna and I came to find out that we share not only the same name and the same wedding venue… but that we both went to Robert Morris University!

One other thing we both seem to share is a love for details and working ahead. Jenna was on the BALL when it came to wedding planning! We talked through so many details of her wedding day months before anything took place, which was so helpful for getting a vision for their wedding day - and for making sure we had enough time for photos! Our solid timeline proved very effective when we had multiple bouts of unexpected rain. But because we had a solid timeline and a back up plan… we were set!

Jenna & C.G., what an honor it was to be a part of your wedding day. Your joy and positivity in the face of adversity is so admirable! Congratulations again my friends!

Fallon & Seth: Vibrant Fall White Barn Wedding Day

This might be one of my favorite fall weddings ever… I’m not sure I’ve ever photographed such a vibrant, wide array of beautiful fall colors on a wedding day! 😍 Fallon & Seth chose the perfect date for the most beautiful peek fall color!

You may remember these two from their engagement session last year at Preston Park in Butler. We had the most beautiful weather that day for their session! But as their wedding day approached, rain loomed in the forecast. Very VERY thankfully, it did not rain for the ceremony OR photo portion of their day! In fact… I’m not sure if it rained at all! Which was a HUGE blessing. It would’ve been a bummer to miss out on the beautiful fall colors if we hadn’t been able to shoot outside!

Another reason I adore this wedding day? My husband and I were married at the same venue (The White Barn!) back in 2015! It’s always SO FUN to come back to such a special spot - and I feel like I know the venue a bit more intimately because of my personal history there!

I feel like so much of this day speaks for itself. You will easily be able to see the joy in the photos below radiating from Fallon & Seth! Their joy truly radiates from within, and is reflective of the love that they’ve received in Christ.

Congratulations on your wedding day, Fallon & Seth! It was truly, TRULY an honor to be a part of your beautiful wedding day. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to celebrate with you two and your friends & family!

Amber & Chris: LeMont Restaurant Wedding Photos

It all started a few years ago, when Amber and Chris happened to walk into the same bar one night. They had both been taking a break from dating - but something was different after their first interaction.

They started dating soon after, and got engaged in 2019.

Fast forward to 2020 (you all know where this is going by now! ). Surprise: a pandemic hit! But Amber & Chris were determined to get married, no matter what. They changed venues, they downsized, and many things changed leading up to their day. But ultimately, they wanted just one thing: to be married, finally - and to honor God in the process. So they forged ahead!

And truly - their wedding day was so, so full of joy! And it was about what truly matters most. Congratulations, Amber & Chris! You two are an absolute joy and we pray all the best for you as you enter marriage together!

Amy & Anthony: Indiana, PA Wedding Photos

Possibly the most popular wedding date of the year (or of the decade?!), 10.10.20 was a date many couples planned years for - including Amy & Anthony. And while their wedding may have looked a bit different than what they had originally planned, these two had all of the joy you would expect on a wedding day (and more!) - even through some unexpected twists and turns.

These two met at IUP, so it was only fitting that they shared a “first look” on campus, specifically at IUP’s Oak Grove! And, lucky for us, we found the most beautiful spot with so many beautiful fall colors! 😍

After a ceremony at the school’s University Parish, then a cocktail hour at Anthony’s parent’s home, we visited Grandpa at his nursing home, who was unable to make the wedding due to Covid restrictions. Their visit was so sweet, and was definitely one of my favorite parts of their wedding day!

Following Grandpa’s visit, we headed over to Nap’s Cucina Mia for their intimate open air reception. Though we didn’t stay for the reception due to pandemic restrictions, we had so much fun photographing all of Amy & Anthony’s details before their guests arrived, including some Spanish-themed items, reflective of Amy’s love for teaching Spanish!

Amy & Anthony, I am so thankful for you two! Wishing you all of the best as you begin your married lives together - and I am SO excited to get to celebrate you AGAIN next year!!!!

Brett & Colleen's Epic Early Fall Wedding Day

Brett & Colleen's Epic Early Fall Wedding Day

This was an EPIC wedding day from start to finish.

Brett & Colleen tied the knot late September in one of the most beautiful, unique wedding days I’ve ever had the privilege to be a part of! Every piece of this wedding day was thoughtfully planned to dazzle guests, and create an atmosphere filled with whimsical details and unexpected surprises.

From the photos below, you probably couldn’t even guess that Brett & Colleen were forced to moved their wedding reception to a private estate in Sewickley just months before their date, due to Covid. MANY of their original plans changed - then changed again. But these two never lost heart! While Colleen pushed forward in her intensive medical program, Brett took the reigns with planning and simply gave Colleen the (fun!) job of finding a dress, and showing up the day of - then to simply enjoy the magic of their wedding day! And if you’ve ever been a bride, you know what a gift something like that would be!

What stands out to me most about these two is the fact that they never let the “dazzle” of their day outshine their love for each other. It’s easy to get lost in the glitz and glamour of a wedding day - but, truly, these two were able to focus on each other and enjoy their day, very much thanks to all of Brett’s planning, and to the team of professionals below.

Brett & Colleen, we are SO THANKFUL to have been a part of your wedding day. What a blessing it was to celebrate with you both!

Rebecca & Anthony: Embassy Suites Downtown Pittsburgh Wedding

I always feel grateful for the weddings I get to photograph - but this year, more than ever, I feel grateful to still have weddings to photograph, despite everything going on in the world right now!

Rebecca & Anthony downsized their wedding from their original plans, but much of the format remained the same: they were still able to say their vows in the church they had planned and have photos with the Pittsburgh skyline in the background, followed by a small reception for their family & bridal party at the Embassy Suites Downtown Pittsburgh! It was sweet, intimate, and full of lots of joy and laughter.

Rebecca & Anthony, thank you a million times for having me document your wedding day! It was an honor to witness the beginning of your marriage!

Sam & Brian: The Fez Wedding Photos

I am so thankful to have been a part of this wedding day.

Like many couples getting married this year, Sam and Brian were unsure what would happen in the months leading up to their wedding day. But, very thankfully, they were able to get married on their original date and have their wedding day, surrounded by friends and family!

Sam and I grew up on the same street, just a few houses down from each other - when she was a senior, I even took her senior portraits (back in 2014)! She just so happens to be the first senior of mine who’s wedding I’ve also had the privilege to photograph (I so hope that happens more in the future! 💛It is so fun to see everything come full circle!)

While I had photographed Sam before, but had never photographed Brian, much less Sam and Brian together. I was so excited to find that both Sam AND Brian were incredibly natural in front of the camera - separate, and together! Getting genuine expression and emotion out of them both was so easy, and helped us capture the joy of their wedding day! And on top of that… their bridal party and families were so kind, and so much fun to work with!

We were able to stop by a friend’s house in Beaver for some portraits between the ceremony and reception in front of their beautiful gate, on the edge of their property. It made for the perfect backdrop for both bridal party and bride & groom photos, before we headed over to the Fez for the reception!

Sam and Brian, it was such an honor to be a part of your day. We just love you both and wish you all of the best in your marriage!
