Courtney & Matt: Succop Nature Park Engagement Photos

It is a JOY to be able to share this couple’s engagement photos and story - and it was even more of a joy to get to spend an evening with them at Succop Nature Park in Butler!

Courtney and Matt went to the same high school and were both involved in the band program. However, their paths didn’t cross until they were both invited back to that very same school to teach! After the band performed one night at Kennywood’s Fall Fantasy Parade, they both stayed after the Parade to go on some rides with a few other staff members - then rode back to the school in Matt’s car. They exchanged numbers at some point throughout the evening, and started talking from there… and never stopped!

Matt popped the question on March 13, 2021 - the one year anniversary of the day the world shut down, due to Covid. What a beautiful way to make the anniversary of something dark so much brighter! And now, these two are getting married next year, surrounded by their friends & family.

Courtney and Matt, I could not be more excited to be a part of your beautiful wedding day. Thank you so, SO much for the privilege of walking alongside you two during this season of your lives! ❤️

JHP Engagement Photo Highlights 2019

This was my first time photographing a couple at Fellows Riverside Gardens and I totally fell in LOVE! Props to my couple for introducing me to this epic location!

Brielle and Stephen came dressed to kill! An engagement session is always a good time to kick up the style a notch!

Photographing my cousin and his fiance was definitely one of the biggest highlights of all of my engagement sessions this year! And getting to take photos in the sunflower fields at Soergel’s was just icing on the cake!

I mean, have you ever seen flower bushes so beautiful?!

I was wondering why all of the sunflowers were facing in one direction, and learned that they grow facing towards the rising sun. Fun fact!

Winter engagement sessions are always, ALWAYS my favorite. 💕 Specifically when there’s snow!

Technically this was an anniversary session, but we adore these two so I had to include them!

Ed and Meghan incorporated a car that’s been in Ed’s family for quite a few generations. It was so much fun!

This was one of my favorite locations of the entire year! Everything just came together seamlessly - the sky, the light, the couple.

Julie & John: Succop Nature Park Engagement Photos

Julie and John are an incredibly sweet couple who are SO easy to be around! Their session took place on a sunny Pittsburgh day at Succop Nature Park in Butler, PA. The day of their session ended up being one of the only days for the entire WEEK that it didn’t rain (hallelujah!!), and we spent much of our time chatting about our favorite restaurants, including a favorite across the board of Burghers in Zelienople, PA - right down the street from my house!

Julie and John’s first date took place on Cinco de Mayo 2016 at Saga, and in March of 2019, John popped the question right before Julie left for a trip to Florida. He surprised her by saying that he had “bought her something new” to wear while she was on her trip, and, to her surprise, that thing was an engagement ring!

These two are something special, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of their wedding day next year! Congratulations on your engagement, Julie and John! 💛
