Summer North Park Family Photos

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family a few years ago when we had a surprise snow storm at the beginning of November… and this time was much different! Rather than a surprise snow storm, we had a heat wave the day of their session this time, which they muscled through so well! Thankfully, we had some beautiful sunlight and scenery to work with, which made the heat seem not so bad!

Family photo sessions with young ones are so much fun! Of course, I’m always aiming to get some photos of the kids looking at the camera, but often times, it’s important to embrace the more candid-nature of a family session with young kids to get some genuine smiles. We played Simon Says, laughed, yelled, talked about our favorite foods, animals, and colors, and hugged, and ran! And we had a great time. A huge thanks to this family for letting me photograph you all again! ❤️

Fall North Park Family Photos

Oh what a lovely November evening we had for this sweet family's photos! We had the BEST time running around North Park with these four... and we even had some sunlight to work with, which is often a rarity in Pittsburgh in November!!

I met this family a few months ago at the church plant we’re a part of, New Horizon Church, so it was super fun to get to spend some time with them walking, running, jumping, dancing, and playing Simon Says (oh the things we do for those candid kid reactions at a family session!! They are always so much FUN!).

Snow-Filled Family Photos at North Park

Early November in Pittsburgh is always a toss up. Will it rain? Will it snow? Will it be 20 degrees, or 85 degrees?! No one quite knows! 😉 This incredible family pictured in this blog post decided to embrace the early snow and went with their planned session time in the snow and cold! We worked fast, took a mid-way break, and were able to get some beautiful, snow-filled images.

To this sweet family: thank you all for being such incredible troopers, and for braving the unexpected weather! 💛

The E Family: North Park Family Photographer

This superhero, goldfish loving family did an amazing job at their North Park session! We had the perfect April day in the 60's - which was exciting for these five, who usually get their family photo taken during winter! And, fun fact - it was Nathaniel's (the youngest) birthday the day of their session! Thanks to this sweet family for adventuring through muddy grounds to get to these perfectly lit spots!
