Mimi: Oakland Senior Photos

Mimi is a senior at Penn Hills who I had the honor of photographing last week at all of the best spots in Oakland! She hopes to study Criminology (hence the fun set up in one of the photos below!) and is, as you can see from the photos, absolutely stunning!

Her outfit choices were totally on point, too - we were even able to find some beautiful pink flowers to perfectly match her bright pink top!

Mimi, congratulations on your senior year. You are stunning and will do amazing things! 💛

Jeremy G: Historic Harmony Senior Photos

Jeremy was my first guy senior post-COVID, and we had the best time walking around Harmony for his senior photos! BUT, we did forget to get a photo of him with his mask on to commemorate a very interesting senior year!

Jeremy is a senior at Seneca Valley who hopes to be an animator, and who loves all things dinosaurs and fossils! He even wore some subtle dinosaur-themed garb for his photos, which ended up being the perfect color & style for all of Harmony’s colorful backdrops!

Jeremy, congratulations on your senior year. You are going to do amazing things! So thankful to have been able to take these photos for you!!

Families are SO MUCH FUN to photograph! In the images below, you’ll see families of all shapes and sizes, as well as many who were just beginning to grow families at the time of their sessions! This year, I had the privilege of photographing more expecting couples than ever before, and I have to say… every year I’m loving maternity sessions more and more!

Thank you to each and every family who trusted me with photographing the people they love most this year! 💓

JHP Senior Photo Highlights 2019

Out of all types of sessions I take, I take the most senior portrait sessions throughout the year - and there’s a reason for that! I absolutely love photographing seniors - I love how creative you can get with them in terms of posing, light, location, and personality - and they’re just so much fun!

2019 was a fun year for senior portraits. Per usual, I had a lot of sessions at Hartwood Acres Mansion (which I totally LOVE because it has so many great options!), but also had some sessions at a few new places, including the Heinz Hall Lobby & Gardens, the Lemieux Center, and at a few new places in the Strip District.

Over all, it was an absolutely amazing year, and I already can’t wait to start photographing seniors again for the class of 2021! Below are a few of my favorite images from my 2019 senior sessions. A HUGE thank you to each senior and family who trusted me with these once-in-a-lifetime memories. You all are the best! Enjoy!

Quentin H: North Shore Senior Photos

The day of Quentin’s senior session was one of the first sunny days we had had in a WHILE here in Pittsburgh, which made it the perfect day for his session!

I had the pleasure of photographing Quentin’s sister, Morgan (click here to see her photos!) in November of 2017, and let me tell you - that was a cold session! Temperatures dipped into the single digits (if I remember correctly!) and the only warm location at Hartwood Acres was the restroom! So… we ended up doing a few portraits in there against a white wall, just to give Morgan a break from the cold! Thankfully, Quentin’s session was just a bit warmer 😉 Sunny with a high of 75 isn’t too bad!

Quentin is going to be a senior at North Allegheny this fall! He wore his baseball jersey for the first part of the session, and the surrounding area of PNC park was the perfect location! Paired with a Pirates hat, glove, and baseball, we were able to tie in the sport he’s played since he was four. Congratulations on making it to your senior year, Quentin! You are going to do great things!
