Sarah + Steven: Shady Elms Farm Wedding Photography

How we loved this wedding and these people! Sarah and Steven's beautiful blush wedding took place at Shady Elms Farm (one of my favorite venues!) on a sunny August afternoon. While Nick (who is now my second shooter and husband) took photos of the guys getting ready at a nearby hotel, I had the privilege of documenting the gorgeous bride with her girls at the farm. Before getting into their wedding attire, the girls sat down for a picturesque lunch in their floral robes (adorable, right?) ...And the rest of the day is history. We felt so honored to be a part of this wedding. Thank you to Sarah, Steven, and all of their friends and family who made us feel so welcome!

Fun fact: the groom's name is Steven Nicholas (first and last names), and my new husband's name is Nicholas Steven (first and middle names). Crazy, right?! And now, on to the main event:

Woodland Styled Sister Portraits

It's always an honor when someone asks me to give them some photography tips. I've become a huge fan of helping people through figuring out their camera, their lenses, and their lighting (even though I still have so much to learn myself!). Recently, I met a lovely lady who I've been mentoring in photography, and we decided to style a little mini-shoot to practice shooting. Her daughters were the models, and they did a fantastic job! Some of my favorites are below:

Sister Portraits | Cranberry Township Headshots

You might recognize these two little ladies from a family shoot back in 2014! These two ladies are pursuing child modeling, and I think you'll agree - they are definitely going places! This session took place in the family's home (called a lifestyle session). I absolutely love creating photos in clients' homes (especially when it's 5 degrees outside ;) )! There's something so personal about taking photos in an environment that the subject is connected to. Enjoy just a few of my favorites from the shoot below:
