We started Ben's senior session out at his house with his bike (isn't it awesome?!), and then took a short drive over to North Boundary Park, where we found some killer light and great scenery. Thanks for an awesome time, Ben! Congrats on your last year!
It's always an honor when someone asks me to give them some photography tips. I've become a huge fan of helping people through figuring out their camera, their lenses, and their lighting (even though I still have so much to learn myself!). Recently, I met a lovely lady who I've been mentoring in photography, and we decided to style a little mini-shoot to practice shooting. Her daughters were the models, and they did a fantastic job! These two bought their first house together a few weeks ago, and gave me the honor of documenting them in their new space the day they moved in! Congratulations to these two wonderful people!
You might recognize these two little ladies from a family shoot back in 2014! These two ladies are pursuing child modeling, and I think you'll agree - they are definitely going places! This session took place in the family's home (called a lifestyle session). I absolutely love creating photos in clients' homes (especially when it's 5 degrees outside ;) )! There's something so personal about taking photos in an environment that the subject is connected to. Enjoy just a few of my favorites from the shoot below:

Spring made an appearance yesterday, and the weather was too beautiful to deny an impromptu shoot. Getting some beautiful free flowers may have also had something to do with it!
I'm a Christmas fanatic. Everything about it makes me wish it was a year round celebration! But, then again, that wouldn't make it quite as special. This past weekend I did a photobooth at Grace Community Church's youth group Christmas party, and it was an awesome time! I even got to jump in for a few photos. Enjoy, and Merry (early) Christmas!
A few weeks ago I did a little experiment to see if I could create interesting portraits using a technique I learned through shooting wedding receptions (giving motion to light). The results came out pretty interesting! And I only had to pay my model (my sister) with a Sheetz milkshake and hot fries. I'd say that's a win!
